Pleasant Hill’s first settlers arrived in 1828, and despite nearly being decimated by Order No. 11 during the Civil War, this railway depot town endured to thrive today as a rails-to-trails town that boasts a 19th-century train depot, Civil War-era cemeteries, historic buildings, and a newly renovated Historic District Museum.
